Windows Programs

Well, only two for the moment, for free download. Enjoy!

This is the download page for the MS-Windows versions of The Daily Journal and Treecle

The Daily Journal 3, version 0.2

A program to manage daily notes, appointments, alarms to upcoming appointments, contacts, holidays and lists.

Information, screenshots and FAQ

The source code for The Daily Journal has been compiled under Windows using the compiler supplied by MingW and the libraries available under Qt for Windows.

The source code is the same as that for Linux.

There might be differences in the location of the data files, but the program seems to work. The behavior is the same as under Linux.

Click the button below for the 32-bit binary. Unzip the files in a sub-directory, and run the binary tdj.exe.

Copy the images, license  and documentation as described in the README file into the data subdirectory “.tdj3” (remember, there is a dot before the name).

The location of the data subdirectory will be in the root of the user account. For example, C:\Users\{your-account-name}\.tdj3

Unfortunately, two DLL files have been inadvertently excluded from these packages. They are QtWebkit and QtNetwork. These are available from various places on the Internet as free downloads, and of course from the Qt website qt-project.org.
